I’m back living in Southampton, high up on the 10 floor of a student halls complex near Ocean Village. Everything looks small out of my windows; I don’t know what they call it, but I’ve discovered using the ‘line’ focus effect can be used to make an interesting almost ‘tilt shifted’ photo. The kind of thing that photoshop tutorial websites have promoted for years.
Take a photo with Instagram and tap the icon shown in the above photo.
Then Pinch and make the line width as narrow as it will let you. You might notice the line to start to move erratically, I’ve found using both my index fingers to be more precise. Position it over something, people and cars tend to look best.
